Why Does Mother Teresa Inspire You?

 Saint in the Making
mother teresa's love was unconditional. she attended to anyone who needed care. being a catholic religious did not stop her from taking care of those from other religious sects. she reflected Jesus in every act. may she be canonized soon.

 Mother's Love
This is my first time reading about Mother Teresa of Calcutta. And as I read her story I could only see how beautiful this woman really was. Tears just poured out of my eyes. It just moved me. The love she has for our God. I could feel that love. Like if she was speaking to me through her story. There are no words to express the love that radiates from our Father. He does look for our love.

 Mother Teresa's Advice
We were told to write a paper on who we believe to be the most heroic person in the world. i chose to do it on mother teresa because she is an amazing lady. She was not only selfless but she loved everyone. she is truly an amazing person and i hope more people follow her examples and help those in need. My favorite quote said by her is: "Don't wait for leaders; do it yourself." I think everone should live by this and maybe there would not be as much poverty or violence in the world.

 Inspired to Be Like Her
I am inspired by Mother Teresa ever since I did her for my RE project. We were on the topic of how she never caught the terrible diseases that she had to work with when a girl shouted out, "God protected her!" And then I looked back at my worksheet while people were discussing whether or not this was true when I saw her life's misssion. I read the bit that said she felt God telling her to go and then I had a revelation. I have always liked helping others and maybe when I am older (being only a schoolgirl) I could try and do some of her work.

 A True Saint
Mother Teresa was a true saint, she lived a simple life. She shared her love with everyone she met during her stay here on earth. Her stories really inspire me so much. If people would love their neighbors and help the needy, we won't have war, killings and murder, poverty, etc. Her story tells me not to treasure worldly things but to share with the needy and love others, for I know one day I will leave this world and I want to be in heaven where all other saints are with Jesus. To be loved and to feel wanted and to have peace are the most inportant things in this world. I hope the world would follow her footsteps.

 Ultimate Example of Humility
It is through her that we know Jesus is alive in us. Her simplicity and devotion to her holy call are and always will be an example for me. In times of pain and times that we think God has deserted us, her spirit tells me that he has not but is attending temporarily to someone who needs him more at the moment.

 Positive Example
Mother theresa did help me to encourage me through her personal life and example to be strong and persevere through the difficulties. i think she is a saint because she is so positive example to me, and it's enough reason for me.

 'Jesus Personified'
One cannot help but feel her exceptional humility and love and holiness just looking at her picture. She is Jesus personified. Mother Teresa's life reminds us that God is so real and alive, and His love for us, saints and sinners, is as real as the Bible says.

Mother Teresa cared and loved the helpless and 'garbage' of her time. When I thirst for God's love and mercy after making a 'garbage' of myself, I know that she will always welcome and assist me.

 Role Model
I was confirmed at thirteen years old, because my religious education classes told me that was what I was supposed to do. I did not entirely understand what was supposed to be happening. But, the priest who performs the student Masses at my college said it was the same for him at his confirmation, but that the Holy Spirit still entered into him, and I believe it was the same for me. My confirmation name is Theresa. I said at the time that it was for Mother Theresa. The cause for her canonization had just been opened the previous year. In all honesty, I wanted the name because my own mother's name is Theresa, and I wanted to express admiration for her. But I had admiration for Mother Theresa and her devotion to the poor, too. Charity has always been a core value of mine. In recent years, I've learned more details about Mother Theresa and her life. From the latest CD put out by Danielle Rose, a favorite Christian artist of mine (and another admirer of Blessed Theresa), I learned of the vision that had first inspired Theresa--and of the subsequent doubts and uncertainty that plagued the nun until her death. In the vision that inspired her, Theresa stood at the foot of the cross. In following years, she must have felt like Our Lord on the cross in His last hour in the Gospel of Matthew, when He cried out, "Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?"

And yet, she never abandoned her mission. She showed God's love to those of His children most forgotten by the world, even when she herself felt forgotten by God. Being Christian is not supposed to be easy. People will say, "But if you believe, you'll have God by your side and anything will be possible." Of course, God will never truly abandon you, and with Him, anything is possible, but He will not always place Himself directly in your line of sight, or indeed anyplace where you can tangibly feel Him the way you felt Him in that first surge of inspiration. Faith and trust in God will falter. We are only human. But even in our doubt and failings, if we remember our brothers and sisters and show them love, we will touch His face.

On the day of my confirmation, the Holy Spirit came into me with a whisper. He said to me, "Go ahead and make the choice you feel right about. Someday you'll understand why."

 Grateful for Miracle
In 1998, We were going through a very rough time. We had lost our home and was living with five children in a motor home and garage in the home of my then brother-in-law. It was very difficult. I kept praying, as the doors all seemed to be closed to us. We were financially strapped. One night, as I lay praying, Mother Teresa came to me, she blessed me and spoke many things to me. Even though I do not remember all she said, she told me not to worry, that I would have the keys to my house (we had seen a house to move into, but lacked the money to move into) by the next day. She blessed me on the forehead and also my husband. The next day, the Realtor of the house we had looked at came to see me and told me that the owner would rent the house to us while we gathered the money for the down payment, and handed me the keys to the house. Even though that was years ago, I still remember the miracle that this precious lady did for us in my cries of desperation. I will always be grateful.

 Unconditional Love
Mother Teresa inspires me because she lived by example. Nobody was too poor, too sick or too lonely for her not to give her full attention to. She showed me what Jesus meant by unconditional love.

 Path of Mother Teresa
I am a religious education coordinator. I have used Mother Teresa's quotes to guide me to be a better coordinator, to teach love and kindness to all. The compassion that my priest has taught me so reflects that love that mother teresa has shown all who have met her and all she inspires. He inspires me to follow the path of love and kindness of Mother Teresa.
